Verbier’s Slopes – Every Snowboarders’ Dream

Whether you’re a beginner or an advanced snowboarder, Verbier Switzerland, with its gentle slopes and extreme terrains is the best resort to freestyle, get air and show off your snowboarding skills.

You will be snowboarding high in the Swiss Alps on excellent snow runs that spread across four valleys with 94 lifts and well over 400km of piste, surrounded by spectacular scenery.

Advanced Snowboarders

Verbier is literally snowboarders’ heaven. For advanced snowboarders there are infinite cliff drops, hair raising descents, open powder fields and fast gorges. If you are up for a challenge you should try snowboarding in the steep and deep powdered terrain from the top of the Mont Fort Cable Car, through the Col des Gentianes, towards the Tortin area. It’s a thoroughly exhilarating snowboarding experience.

Intermediate Snowboarders

Intermediate snowboarders can pretty much snowboard on most of the slopes in Verbier but should avoid Mont-Fort and Mont- Gelé which are more suited to the advanced snowboarder. For more variety and the best scenery, catching the lifts around the La Chaux, Les Ruinettes, and Attelas areas are recommended.

Another area of interest for the intermediate snowboarder is the Cheminee run at Thyon, it is wide and speedy, super for big carving GS turns. Just below the Cheminee Chairlift you will find another fast and long trail at Veysonnaz.

Beginner Snowboarders

The gentle slopes at Le Rouge and Les Esserts are perfect for beginners to learn on. Once you’ve built up confidence you can move onto La Chaux’s soft, slow runs or the long and winding Savoleyres trail.

As well as nursery slopes for beginners, Verbier’s ski resort also has fantastic beginner terrain at La Chaux a sunny area, which is the perfect place to practice and progress on the nice, easy runs.

Snowboarding Schools

Verbier has a large number of ski schools and whether you are a beginner or an advanced snowboarder, a freestyler or a freerider there is a school to suit you. The ski schools offer private, group and all day lessons with multi-lingual instructors available.

Après Snowboarding

The après snowboarding in Verbier is phenomenal. Following an exhilarating day of snowboarding the stylish bars start filling up and stay full with guests from around the world until the wee hours of the morning, whilst the all night nightclubs get ready for a funky night of music and dance.

The Freeride World Tour
