Canada is an enormous country and one of the problems about taking a holiday here is that you really won’t be able to choose where to go. The country is incredibly diverse and there are so many attractions that it will be very hard to decide between them all. Of course, Canada is particularly known for its winter sports, but this is just one of the reasons why people come to the country, as it also has plenty to offer the visitor.
In the east of Canada you will find its most historic locations which date back many millennia. Quite contrasting this is the country’s immensely modern cities in this region which are metropolises with all the various attractions you would normally expect from a big city.
On the other hand, if you head to the west of Canada you are going to find a more recreational area with plenty of resorts for tourists. This is the part of Canada that is typically associated with winter sports.
Therefore, when you are choosing your holiday in Canada, you should really think about what you want to do, because in some way Canada is going to be able to accommodate it. For example, if you are interested in historic sites then you should head to Newfoundland, but if you want to enjoy some excellent skiing then head to the East Coast.
Right in the westernmost part of the country you will find the area of British Columbia. This contains Canada’s most famous city, Vancouver, and here you will find such famous sites as Whistler Mountain, Jasper National Park and Banff National Park. This was a destination where the Winter Olympic Games were held in 2010, and because of this the facilities here are exceptional. Whatever reason you come to Canada for, the country is going to exceed your expectations.
