RiutBag Go introduces backwards backpack with no outer zips

Riut, the company that has revolutionised safe travel with the RiutBag backwards backpack, is expanding its line-up with the RiutBag Go – a lighter, brighter and more affordable version of thief-proof rucksack. Following the success of the award-winning RiutBag R10 and R15, the RiutBag Go is designed for the everyday – whether going to a weekend festival, taking a family day out to the beach or strolling around an unknown city – this colourful unisex backpack delivers worry-free travel.

Built for the the city commuter and frequent international traveller, the RiutBag R10 and R15 provides these travellers with a durable, waterproof, high performance backpack featuring the infrastructure to carry high-value tech and gadgets day in, day out alongside important documents, passports and tickets. The RiutBag Go is a simpler, more affordable design for those who want peace of mind without the tech-protecting features.

All RiutBags share the same core design: a backwards backpack with no outer zips – the only zips are the ones against your back – for calm, secure travel. The RiutBag Go’s blueprint is simple: a large top pocket on hand to store wallet, keys and a mobile phone. With festival season around the corner, the RiutBag Go allows users to soak up the festival atmosphere and not give a second thought about the whereabouts of their mobile phone or wallet even in the middle of a front stage melee.

The back panel opens out like suitcase for no-hassle access and cleaning, with a separate A4-sized compartment located in the inside rear panel for easy storage of important documents. The helpful and sturdy top handle allows users to grab the RiutBag for a quick getaway. The 12-litre interior provides ample room to store daily essentials without extra weight and bulk while the ingenious ‘invisible straps’ means those annoying and potentially accident-inducing dangling straps remain rolled, secured and out of sight.

Reflecting the urban colours we see in our public transport systems, metros, subways and light rail in cities around the world, the RiutBag Go arrives in two eye-catching finishes: Shuttle green with blue detail and Metro Blue with red detail.

Sarah Giblin, the RiutBag creator says, “My quest is to turn the world’s urban backpacks around. I started with the commuter – the urban traveller who carries so much tech – with the original RiutBag. Now I’m thrilled to be able to make the RiutBag concept – a backpack that provides peace of mind just by wearing it – available to more people.

“The RiutBag Go is designed this for teens and adults on holiday in Rome, for friends on a day out at the beach and for anyone heading to a festival this summer. Don’t lose your mobile phone or wallet at a festival; just throw your smartphone in your RiutBag, put your RiutBag on and lose yourself in the music.”

Every RiutBag is designed and built based on user feedback and survey answers from urban travellers and Sarah Giblin prototypes new designs based on this user thinking. Her mantra is: Revolution in user thinking (Riut) and the new RiutBag Go was developed from this way of working and the feedback received.

The RiutBag Go will be available in June 2016. The backpack comes in Shuttle green with blue detail and Metro blue with red detail finishes, priced £29 (inc.VAT) Customers can pre-order the new RiutBag Go now at www.riut.co.uk
