Flybe, an airline company based on UK, has introduced its latest flight from the Birmingham Airport. The newest destination of the company is Lyon in France starting from the 1st May. The airlines will provide weekly flight to the newly added destination and the flights will be operated by the new Embraer 175 jet aircraft that has a capacity of 88 seats.
The Marketing Director of the airline company, Simon Lilley, has said that the company is dedicated to bring Birmingham closer to the rest of the world. He expressed his hopes that the new flight will offer an affordable and attractive travelling way to this well-liked leisure destination.
The newly added flight will accompany the already existing schedule of flights to and from Birmingham which provides about 598 flights per week to 23 destinations. The main aim of the company is making to ‘Make flying better’ for the passengers. The company is looking forward to accept their first batch of passengers in the newly introduced flight.
Flybe has announced a special introductory offer for the new flight starting from 39.99 pounds one way only, the ticket could be booked online. It is also providing an Economy bundle offer at a package price; including seat fares along with ten kilograms of add-on handbag allowance, advance selection of seats while booking, on the house standard hold bag and complimentary itinerary facilities.
Formerly, the company has declared job cuts in order to improve its battering financial situation. It has been working on a financial restructuring plan to refocus its policies and to better manage its employees.
According to the financial rearrangement plan of the airline, it aims at reducing its UK workforce by 10%. The decrease would mean a cut of 300 employees from its total workforce. Most of the lay off will occur at the company’s hubs in Newcastle, Manchester and Exeter.
