A Rough Guide to Monte Carlo

I am so out of speech when it comes to describing this town for you. This article will take you to this virtual trip until you end up deciding to pack your bags and head on to the wonderful land of Monte Carlo!

This place is not just about the view and fresh air that you will breathe upon the moment you land here, rather it’s all about the memorable experiences that you’re about to encounter that will surely stick to your heart and mind even in the years to come. I don’t want to sound overly dramatic but you will definitely understand me the moment you set foot in this town.

It is a must that you prepare a lot of money when coming to Monte Carlo. Experience a carefree life and living large the moment you enter their famous Grand Casino. It’s pretty much like Vegas only in a more classy and elegant environment. Not to mention you are playing with very sophisticated people on the dealer table, and you’ll know what I’m talking about when you play Black Jack also known as 21.

Walking is probably one of the many activities that you will surely enjoy here. This town is filled with vintage views that some would call it Little Europe. Monte Carlo was derived from the late Prince Charles III of Monaco. And thanks to him, this place has never been the same since he made it known as a place for luxury when he founded the Grand Casino.

Speaking of walking, I suggest that you visit the Monaco-Ville where the locals call it Le Rocher. This village is inspired by the medieval ages and the ambiance will definitely take you back in history that you’ll almost picture yourself in sepia mode.

It’s quite easy coming here especially if you travel from Italy or France since Monte Carlo is on the border of these two known countries. It’s the perfect town if you just really want to spend for leisure and luxury. Having said that, if you love the thrill of watching fast cars fly their engine on an open track; then you must witness the Formula One Monaco Grand Prix that happens only in this town.

Monte Carlo is like a huge island resort that is being packed by tourists from all over the world. Aside from its amazing beaches and cool weather that goes with its view, the cultural activities that you could experience here are just priceless and definitely educational.

The official language spoken by the locals of Monte Carlo is French so it’s best to learn that to help you get by with your usual inquiries. Italian and Monegasque are the next languages that the people use here. Make sure to change your dollars or pounds to euros as well in order to purchase, deal and make business in this town.

What I like about Monte Carlo is that you won’t have to limit yourself doing activities on land. Their fabulous boat tour will surely make your whole trip here unforgettable. You’ll be riding on this boat called Aguavision, which is a multi-hulled type of boat that works best to see the underwater world of Monte Carlo. The price is usually € 11 but if you have kids and students who are 18 years of age and below, then the price is only € 8.

And since Monte Carlo is a place of luxury and genuine leisure, expect only world-class performance from internationally known performing artists like Andrea Bocelli, Lionel Richie and Natalie Cole just to name a few. You can witness their concert inside the very exclusive Monte Carlo Sporting Club.

Clearly this place is not exactly for cheap thrills that even the shopping here is considered exclusive! It’s the perfect place to shop till you drop if you’re mad at your credit cards and you just want to spend on a whim for high-end products such as Prada, Gucci etc. Visit the Golden Circle to catch all the designer items that you’re looking for.

So the next time you plan for some luxurious getaway, never forget to have Monte Carlo on your list. And I would even suggest that you have it at the top of your list.
