The Netherlands: Country Guide
Images of the Netherlands are rife with clichés: classic windmills, pigtailed women in clogs, and tulip fields swaying in the windy breeze.  While there is some degree of truth in all of these, needless to say Holland provides much more for travellers than a list of stereotypes.  Its tiny size belies a historically and culturally dense nation that would truly require several lifetimes to fully unravel.

Visit with an open mind and a commitment to see beyond just city of sin.  Take in the historically significant Rotterdam – nearly obliterated during World War II, the city of Utrecht, and The Hague – the beating political core of the Netherlands.
